John Gerard Kurylowicz, a cherished father, brother, and friend, passed away on January 10, 2025, at the age of 59 in San Jacinto, California. Born in Evergreen Park, Illinois, on November 1, 1965, John brought joy and laughter into the world and will be deeply missed by all who had the pleasure of knowing him.
John spent his formative years in Tinley Park Illinois before moving with his family to California, where he graduated from Alta Loma High School. After his education, John demonstrated his patriotism and commitment to service by joining the Navy. His time in the Navy was a testament to his adventurous spirit and his willingness to serve his country.
Following his military service, John transitioned to a civilian career that utilized his unique skills and work ethic. He was an integral part of the K-Mart team, where he helped with the company's remodeling projects, turning them into the Big K's that communities grew to love. His colleagues will remember him as a hardworking and dedicated individual who was always ready to lend a hand.
John's zest for life extended far beyond his professional endeavors. He was an avid motorcycle rider, a hobby that allowed him to explore and enjoy the freedom of the open road. His love for music was expressed through playing guitar, a pastime that brought him and others great joy. Additionally, John's interest in radio-controlled race cars showcased his playful nature and mechanical prowess.
Those who knew John would describe him as adventurous, handy, and thoughtful. He had a knack for fixing things, a skill that he generously used to help others whenever the opportunity arose. His adventurous spirit was contagious, inspiring others to embrace life's journeys with enthusiasm and courage.
John's thoughtfulness was evident in the way he cared for his family and friends. As one of the younger siblings of the Kurylowicz family, his presence was a source of comfort and joy. John will be profoundly missed by his son and daughter, who were the pride and joy of his life. His brothers and sisters will fondly remember the laughter and love that John brought to every family gathering.
John's legacy is one of love, laughter, and the courage to embrace life's adventures. His memory will live on in the hearts of his family and all who were fortunate enough to cross paths with him. As we say goodbye to John Gerard Kurylowicz, we celebrate a life well-lived and cherish the moments that he gave us. His spirit of adventure, his handy skills, and his thoughtful nature will continue to inspire us all.
In honor of John's life, we ask that you remember him and share your memories and celebrate the man who touched so many lives. Rest in peace, dear John, until we meet again.
