John A. Kwoka, age 92 of Audubon passed away in his sleep May 23, 2022. He is survived by his wife of 25 years, Patricia "Pat" A. nee Rychert. Also survived by his sister, Irene Talarowski; brothers-in-law, Philip Rychert and Paul (Dale) Rychert; and many nieces and nephews. He was predeceased by his four brothers: Walt, Frank, Stanley and Edmund, and two of his sisters, Mary and Helen.


John was born and raised in Camden, NJ and was a 1948 graduate of LaSalle High School in Philadelphia. He Sergeant in the U.S. Air Force during the Korean War and retired from the U. S. Postal Service where he worked as a purchasing agent. He belonged to many veteran, church and civil groups and held offices in all of them. Some of the organizations include: American Legion Post 74, VFW Post 3620, Voiture 40, La Societe des Quarante Hommes et Huit Chevaux (40 & 8), Polish Army Veterans Post 21, Holy Name Society, Saint Joseph's Church, Parish Council, Saint Joseph's Church, Polish American Congress, South Jersey Division. He was named Polish American Congress Man of the Year, 1979.
Relatives and friends may call Saturday, May 28, 2022, 10:30a.m. at St. Joseph's Church, 1010 Liberty Street, Camden NJ 08104 where a Mass of Christian Burial will follow at 11:00a.m. Interment: St. Joseph Cemetery, Blackwood, NJ. In lieu of flowers, donations to: St. Joseph's Church Restoration Fund at the above address would be appreciated. Arrangements by EVOY-BANASZ FUNERAL HOME, Haddon Heights, NJ.
