John Joseph Laramy

Age 81

of Farmington

John was born in Saint Paul, MN on November 12, 1944 . Son of Reginald and Helen Laramy. John graduated from Johnson High School in 1962. He married Sheila Mudek in 2002. He had many talents and accomplishments, including mechanical and electrical ingenuity. He was very passionate about music, movies and comedy. He was a very joyful person who enjoyed making people laugh. John is preceded in death by his parents, Reginald and Helen (nee Ehlert) Laramy. Survived by beloved wife of 23 years, Sheila Mudek-Laramy; children, Ken (Yvonne) Wilhelm, Clinton (Angie) Wilhelm, Bradley (Melissa) Wilhelm, Melody Mudek-Wright, Karlin Laramy of Nevada, John Laramy, and Sara (Josh) Getty; 12 grandchildren; 3 great-grandchildren; siblings, Helen Fry of Alabama, Myra (Phil) Toconita, and Howard (Marilyn) Laramy of Louisiana; and many nieces, nephews, relatives, and friends. Visitation 2:00 PM to 5:00 PM with Funeral Service at 5:00 PM on Monday, February 9, 2026 at Summit Funeral & Cremation, 6415 Carmen Ave E, Inver Grove Heights, Minnesota 55076. In lieu of flowers, memorials are preferred. The family would also like to thank St. Croix Hospice for their care.

John, I learned that blood is most definitely not a necessity in a sibling. You have been my most true and real brother and I thank you! Thank you for loving my sister and the whole lot of us that came with marrying her! I will miss our monthly (ish) Sunday dinners, your quick wit and loyalty to your family. Fly high Johnny boy!
