John C. Laughlin

John C. Laughlin, Sr., age 89, passed away on June 20, 2025 at Fair Acres in Media, PA. John was born and raised in Havertown, PA, and was a graduate of West Catholic High School. Following his graduation John joined the United States Army and served his nation proudly spending time stationed overseas in Germany. Upon returning home John resided in Toby Farms and then Aston where he and his wife, Stella, would raise their family. Prior to his move to Fair Acres in February, John resided with his daughter, Donna, in Boothwyn, PA.
For many years John worked as a carpenter, owning and operating his own contracting company. John did everything from additions and remodeling to building entire homes. John was proud of his family business and took great care to teach his sons and son-in-law the skills he had learned over the years. When John was not working he enjoyed spending time traveling with Stella, trips with the family to their beach house in Rehoboth, boating, and he was an avid fan of the Eagles, Phillies, and Sixers. Above all else, John cherished his family and the time he was able to spend with them. John could often be found at his grandkids' sporting events, always supporting them in any way he could. He will be remembered fondly as a dedicated and caring Dad, Pop, Poppop, Old Poppop, and friend. John was a member of St. Joseph Catholic Church in Aston, PA.
John was the son of the late Charles and Catherine Laughlin, brother of the late Charles and Thomas Laughlin and Hannah Rowan, and husband of 55 years to the late Stella Laughlin (nee Piaggione).
Survivors: Children: Donna Watkins (Bill), John Laughlin, Jr., and Charles Laughlin (Cindi). Sister: Betty Flynn. Grandchildren: Erik, Christopher, Katie, Kyle, Ryan, Brandon, Austin, and Alex. John is also survived by 7 great grandchildren.
