On May 22, John S. Lee, 66, peacefully passed away at Mass General Hospital. Born in Southbridge to Clayton G. and Jacqueline M. (Laferrier) Lee, John spent his entire life in the area and attended Southbridge High School.
John will be fondly remembered by his sisters: Shirley Yanka of Southbridge, Rosemary "Debbie" Lee of Holland, along with his brothers: Michael Lee, Kennerth Lee, and William Lee, all of Brookfield He also leaves behind cherished nephews and nieces.
Throughout his career at the Center of Hope, John served as a dedicated job coach and van driver for many years. Known for his amiable nature, he was considered a friend by all who crossed his path. Residents often spotted him cycling around town or pursuing his passion for stained glass artistry. Fishing brought him immense joy during his leisure time.
A graveside service to honor John's life will take place on Wednesday, June 26 at 2 PM in Oak Ridge Cemetery, Southbridge. John's presence will be deeply missed but forever remembered by those whose lives he touched with kindness and warmth.
