John Edward Lee, 79, of Lima, passed away on Tuesday, September 23, 2025 at his home. He was born on November 8, 1945 in Lima to the late Harry and Betty {Boss} Lee.
On August 16, 1969, he married Elizabeth {Radabaugh}, who survives in Lima.
John loved his grandchildren and great-grandchildren immensely. He loved camping and watching football. He was an avid Ohio State Buckeyes fan and happily watched the Cleveland Browns win on Sunday. He was a lifelong member of United Brotherhood of Carpenters, Local 372, where he retired in 2001 after 38 ½ years.
He is survived by his wife: Elizabeth “Liz” Lee, sons: David (Lisa) Lee and John Michael (Tracie) Lee, grandchildren: Charles Bolender (Brittney), Allen Lee (Kristin, Hailie (Carlie) Shaughnessy, John Braiden (Skyler) Lee, Lindsay Sherard (Cody), and Addilyn Lee (Andy), and 6 great-grandchildren.
In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his brother: Richard Lee, sister-in-law: Susan Lee, and nephew: Richard P. Lee.
The family will receive friends on Friday, September 26, 2025 from 2-4 p.m. and 6-8 p.m. at Chamberlain-Huckeriede Funeral Home, Lima. A funeral service will begin at 11 a.m. on Saturday, September 27, 2025 at the funeral home. Entombment will follow at Memorial Park Cemetery Mausoleum.
