John Edward Lee, Sr., 82, of Laurens and husband of Karen June Parker Lee, passed away Thursday, October 30, 2025, at PRISMA Healthcare Laurens County Hospital.
Born in Union, SC, he was a son of the late Woodrow and Virginia Lee. Johnny was still actively employed as a mechanic with his Roberts Equipment family, where he had worked for nearly 40 years.
In addition to his wife June, he is survived by his children, Cindy Gossett (John), Brenda Jones, and John Edward Lee, Jr; grandchildren, Anna Pinson (Cody), Ally Armstrong (Richard), Caitlin Lee, Ethan Jones, Eric Jones, Sam Gossett, and Maggie Gossett; great grandchildren, Cayson Armstrong and Clayton Armstrong; and siblings, Ray Lee, Susan Puckett, and Mary Strong.
In addition to his parents, he is predeceased by siblings, Harley Lee, Charles Lee, and Lemuel Lee.
The family will receive friends at The Kennedy Mortuary on Monday, November 10, 2025, from 2:00 to 3:00 PM, followed by a memorial service at 3:00 PM in The Kennedy Mortuary Chapel, conducted by Rev. Mark Meadows.
Memorials may be made to Laurens County Humane Society, 3 Catherine Street, Laurens, SC 29360.
