John and I worked together for many years at IBM in Lexington. I remember him as a dedicated, devoted, warm, person whom I always wanted to talk to. He was fun to play golf with, always had an easy smile or something positive to say. I´ll miss him.

John was such a good guy. I started at IBM in '82, and he was my first mentor in the real world. Taught me how to be a REAL programmer. That skillset has lasted a lifetime and served me well throughout my career. John made a difference in my life, as I'm sure he did to all those around him. Prayers to the family, Rest In Peace, John.

It is with a heavy heart and tears in my eyes as my Mind's Eye reflects back upon the many wonderful times we had together.... first at the IBM Cleveland AOO way back in 1968 ( Pat in Keypunch, John in the mailroom and myself as an admistrative assistant ).. so many great times playing Flag Football on Saturday mornings at Edgewater Park on the shore of Lake Erie.... traveling all over the Cleveland area for IBM Golf Outings every season... playing basketball at night after work.. West Side, East Side .. all over town. Then separately we came to Lexington and the joy of that wonderful friendship and the blessing to have been a part of the true love story John and Pat shared so freely..... watching the boys grow up... and then life's challenges and opportunities took us on towards different paths. Through the years John remained steadfast in his support for all his friends and he had a special twinkle in his eye and a warm smile for everyone that accepted his invitation of friendship. So many memories... and I encourage Pat and the boys to let The Lord be there with them to provide His Comfort and share even more His Love that John so earnestly relished. P.S... special thanks to also to John Tomechek for his email tonight to us ...making us aware of our loss and the reminding us of the great blessings we shared. TakeCare BeSafe and Pray... Respectfully GNW

I had the privilege of meeting John as an IBM colleague when I started here in Lexington in 1982 straight out of UK. I can immediately and vividly recall his smile, his wit and that he such a good guy all around! Always helpful and pleasant. My sincere condolences to the Lehane family as we will no doubt be sorely missed.
