John Henry Leo III, 56, of Beaumont died Tuesday, December 23, 2025. He was born on December 30, 1968, in New Orleans, Louisiana, to Patrice Cazaubon Leo and John Henry Leo, Jr.
Known as DJ Matrix in New Orleans, John loved football and was a big LSU fan. He was a sarcastic, funny, fun, and devoted family man. John was a hard worker and a master carpenter at Mason Construction.
Survivors include his wife, Angela Dunn Leo; mother, Patrice Leo Sunseri and her husband, John Sunseri; daughter, Tori Henson; sons, Tristen Dunn and Gunner Dunn; brother, Jason Leo; sister Colleen Leo; and lifelong friends, Ash and Ashley Khaled.
He is preceded in death by his father, John Henry Leo, Jr., brother, Jack Leo; and sister, Karen Leo.
In lieu of flowers memorial contributions may be made to the Humane Society of Southeast Texas, 2050 Spindletop Avenue, Beaumont, Texas 77705, donation link.
Mr. Leo's cremation arrangements were handled by Broussard's Crematorium, Beaumont, under the direction of Broussard's, 2000 McFaddin Avenue, Beaumont.
