He was a resident of Nicollet Island for his first 18 years of life, then lived the remainder of his years in Coon Rapids, MN.
John was a 50+ year member of the Union Local Painters 386 of Minneapolis
He married Dorothy (Betty) Monson. They had 8 children together. John is preceded in death by his son, Scott. Survived by his wife Betty of 70 years, children John Jr. (Patti), Donald, Lori (Randy) Reid, Thomas, Susan (late Michael) Zeismer, William, Elizabeth Leuthard Dusenka, many grandchildren and great grandchildren.
For those who knew John, know he was a piece of work in a great way. At 88, Dad would say, "That's long enough".
