John "Jack" Libert

John “Jack” Libert of Wayne, PA, died suddenly on Wednesday, September 29, 2021, while on his daily walk with his wife of 64 years, and the love of his life, Ronnie. His death occurred on the feast of the Archangels St. Michael, St. Raphael, and St. Gabriel. Jack’s deep faith, love for his family, and positive outlook filled his life with joy. Born in Sioux Falls, SD, he was the son of Bernard J. and Eleanor Libert (nee Sutton). Jack was the beloved husband of RoseMary “Ronnie” (nee Rafferty) and the amazing father of six children: Janet Libert, Rosemary (Karl) Klupar, Noel (Jeff) Stubanas, Tara Libert, John (Kim) Libert, Michael (Bridget) Libert; loving grandfather to Olivia, Gregory, Ian, Aidan, and Marcus Klupar; Liam, Corey, and Kiera Stubanas; Jack, Luke, Emily, Claire, Grace, and Dan Libert. He is survived by his sister, LuAnn Miller; his brother Donald Libert predeceased him. Jack graduated from the University of Notre Dame in 1954 and attended the University of Pennsylvania. He served as a pilot in the US Air Force and flew in the Strategic Air Command just after the Korean Conflict. His business career in publishing (Time Inc, The Wall Street Journal, and the Philadelphia Bulletin) fed his entrepreneurial desire to own his own business, RAO Printing and Center City Notary on Broad St. in Philadelphia. The Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated Friday, October 8, 2021, at St. Katharine of Siena Roman Catholic Church, 104 S. Aberdeen Ave, Wayne, PA 19087 at 10:30 AM. Prior to Mass, an additional viewing will be from 9:30 AM-10:15 AM. All are invited to join the family at a reception at the Parish Center immediately following Mass.
