John Lombardo Obituary

Visit the Countryside Funeral Home - Anthony website to view the full obituary.

John Rocco Lombardo, age 76, of Ocala, FL, passed away peacefully on November 4, 2025, and will forever live in our hearts. John was born on March 7, 1949, in Brooklyn, New York, to loving parents Joseph and Nancy Lombardo. John’s family moved to Cresskill, New Jersey at the age of three, where he was raised. He met the love of his life, Gail Maureen Brown, and they became married on September 4, 1971. In November 1979, John and Gail loaded their vans and moved to Ocala, FL where they raised their two children and have resided for 46 years. John was known to friends and family as a kind-hearted man with a strong faith in God and great sense of humor. He was a devoted husband, caring father and fun-loving papa.

He was preceded in death by his father Joseph Paul Lombardo, and his mother, Nancy Costa Lombardo. He is survived by his loving wife, Gail Lombardo, with whom he shared 54 years of marriage; son, Adam John Lombardo (Lisa); daughter, Andrea Lombardo Owen (Michael); grandchildren, Caleb, Jackson, Luke, Elsie, and Clara; brother, Joseph Paul Lombardo; sister-in-law, Helen Calcaterra (Ross) & Arlene Burke; nieces and nephews.

John leaves an indelible impression on those who called him husband, father, brother, papa, uncle, brother-in-law, nephew, cousin, and friend. John’s loving spirit, radiant smile, and compassionate heart captivated everyone who had the chance to know him. He exemplified hard work and integrity through his many years employed with UPS and always provided for his family. John had a heart for serving his community through Hospice of Marion County and within his home church, Church of Hope. He enjoyed gardening, being surrounded by nature, listening to music, and dancing. At the center of John’s life was a deep faith in God. It was evident that Gods loving, calm, patient spirit and incredible kindness, shined in him. He lived out his faith as a servant and enjoyed getting to love and serve others. John’s legacy of love, service, and faith will carry on in the many lives he touched.

A Celebration of Life service honoring John will be held on Sunday, November 23rd at 2pm at Church of Hope, 3233 SE Maricamp Rd STE 300, in Ocala, FL. Arrangements under the care of Countryside Funeral Home.
