John L. Longley

With profound sorrow, we announce the passing of John L. Longley, a dedicated husband, father, and Paw. Whose life was characterized by unwavering hard work and a remarkable ability to bring joy to those around him. Born on June 25, 1941, John's journey concluded on December 20, 2025, leaving behind a legacy of laughter and unwavering dedication.

Throughout his 84- year life, John touched the lives of countless individuals with his infectious humor and unwavering spirit. His passion for farming led him to establish Wondering acres Farm, a testament to his commitment and perseverance.

In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his loving wife of 64 years Onecia; daughter, Judy L. Longley; brothers, Fred Longley, and Melvin Longley.

Left to cherish the many memories include his loving children, John T. (Arlena) Longley, Kim A. (Seth) Longley; grandchildren, Cameron, John Thomas, Brock, Garrett, and Madeleine, who were the cherished members of his family.

Funeral services will be conducted at 2:30 p.m. on Saturday, December 27, 2025, in the chapel of Higgins Funeral Home of Benton, with Colton Powell officiating. Interment will follow at the Longley Family Farm, with John Thomas Lovell-Longley, John Tyler Longley, Cameron Longley, Brock Longley, Garret Longley, and Seth Pittman serving as pallbearers. Honorary pallbearers will be Henry Longley, Linda Beaty, and Beulah Grisham.

His family will receive friends from 12:30 to 2:30 p.m. on Saturday, prior to the service at the funeral home.
