John Lopes Obituary
He was born August 4, 1945 in Canton, Ohio, son of John and Ila Stephens Lopes. John was a pipefitter and retired from maintenance at Ford Motor Co., LAP and a Navy veteran of the Vietnam Era.
He was preceded in death by his wife, Sharon Rose Norman Lopes; and five siblings.
Survivors include his children, John, Sebastiao and Tisha Lopes; eight grandchildren; six great grandchildren; and four siblings.
His funeral is 11:30am Tuesday, December 30, 2025 at St. Bernard Catholic Church, 7500 Tangelo Drive, Louisville, KY with burial in Kentucky Veterans Cemetery Central, Radcliff, KY. Visitation is 2-5pm Monday, December 29, 2025 at Fern Creek Funeral Home, 5406 Bardstown Road, Louisville, KY.
