John William Lorick, 82 of Gaston, South Carolina, passed away on Monday, March 24, 2025.
Born on January 3, 1943 in Columbia, SC was a Son of (the late) Alma Louise Lorick (Strouble) and Clarence Lorick.
John was an avid gun and knife collector. He also spent much of his life collecting arrow heads all over the state. John could always be seen in his yard on his beloved lawn mower, cutting grass and gardening. John love his family. He was proud of his kids and their accomplishments. He was most proud of all 5 of his grandchildren. He would light up when they walked in the room. He loved shooting his guns with his kids and grandkids. He also love his dog Sawyer, you did not see one without the other. John also love his church family at St. Paul PHC as well as Pastor and Linda Jones.
John is preceded in death by his parents, and his sister, Elaine Gunter.
John is survived by Beverly Lorick (Wife), son and daughter Brian Lorick (Sarah) and Tami Lorick, (Larry), and Grandchildren Chelsea and Jordan Fulwood, Logan Lorick, Skyler Lorick, and Everett Lorick, and Ryan and Rachel Barber.
The visitation will be held Thursday, March 27th at 11:00am at St. Paul IPHC, 648 St. Matthews Rd., Highway 6 east, Swansea, SC 29160. The Memorial Service will begin at 12pm.
In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to St. Paul IPHC, 648 St. Matthews Rd., Highway 6 east, Swansea, SC 29160.
