John "Jack" Lucey, 88, of Stuart, Fl, passed away peacefully on Monday, March 3, 2025, surrounded by loved ones.
Born in Elizabeth NJ, he lived in NJ for 55 years before relocating to Florida in 1991. He graduated Thomas Edison Trade school in 1954. He held several jobs in his life, but his favorite was being a dad to his six children. Nothing made him happier than being surrounded by those that he loved. He was an avid sports fan. Jack loved the NY Giants, NY Yankees & golf. You would always find him scrolling through Facebook or working on a puzzle or word search on his iPad. He also loved his country and supported the US Army and the veterans.
A man of incredible strength, Jack's legacy will live on in the hearts of all who knew him. His boundless love for his family and the joy he brought to others will never be forgotten. His uncanny ability to make people laugh in the darkest of moments was a gift he possessed. Nothing could keep him down. He was a warrior and will truly be missed by many.
He is predeceased by his parents, Joseph & Jennie Lucey, his brother, Joseph & sister Mary Ann. He leaves behind his wife of 29 years, Vicky Weigert. His 6 children, Donna Balogh, Elizabeth Fragoso, Raymond Rock, Dawn Coppola, husband Michael Coppola, Jacqueline & Jennifer Lucey. He also has 21 grandchildren & 11 great-grandchildren.
Jack's memory will be honored with a private celebration of life for the immediate family. In lieu of flowers, the family kindly requests donations be made to the Wounded Warrior Project. https://support.woundedwarriorproject.org/
