LYNCH, John B. "Jack" Jr. Of Dorchester, died June 17, 2025. Beloved husband of the late Maureen Greenan (McCarthy) Lynch. Loving father of John B. Lynch, III and his wife, Michele L. Lynch of North Falmouth, Karen L. and her husband, Neil R. Janulewicz of Dorchester, Patricia A. Lynch of Dorchester, and Michael F. and his wife, Kim Lynch of Tinton Falls, NJ. Son of the late Dr. John B. Lynch and Frances B. (Creighton) Lynch. Brother of Marianne Bullock and her late husband, Donald of Plymouth, and the late Edward G.M. Lynch, William C.B. Lynch, and Catherine R. Young. Devoted "Bumpa" to Caitlin L. and her husband, Sean Colvin, John B. Lynch, IV and his wife, Merideth, Neil R. Janulewicz, Jr. and his wife, Alane, Patricia A. Janulewicz Lloyd and her husband, Nathanael Janulewicz Lloyd, Jonathan B. and his wife, Jennifer Wiencek, Lauren M. and her husband, Shawn Bannister, and Michael J. Lynch. Cherished "Bumpa" to James Greenan Janulewicz, Eleanor Hillary Janulewicz Lloyd, Eric Lloyd, Margaret Marie Janulewicz, Caroline Karrie Janulewicz Lloyd, William John Colvin, Claire McKenna Colvin, Teagan Maureen Colvin, Oliver John Lynch, Cooper Law Lynch, Myles Benjamin Wiencek, and Calvin Henry Wiencek. Jack is also survived by many loving nieces and nephews. Family and friends will honor and remember Jack's life by gathering for Visiting Hours in the Murphy Funeral Home, 1020 Dorchester Avenue, DORCHESTER, on Friday, June 20, 2025, from 4:00 P.M. to 7:00 P.M. His Funeral Mass will be celebrated in St. Margaret Church of St. Teresa of Calcutta Parish, on Saturday morning, June 21, 2025, at 10:00 A.M. Burial with Military Honors will be held in St. Patrick Cemetery, in Rockland. Jack was a veteran of the Korean War, serving in the U.S. Army. He was a proud graduate of Boston Latin School, Class of 1950, and Harvard University, Class of 1954, with a Bachelor's of Science. He then went on to earn a Master of Business Administration from Boston College. He was a retired business manager for St. John Seminary for over 20 years. Jack humbly served his beloved St. Margaret Parish for many years as a Eucharistic Minister, Lector, Usher, Religious Education Teacher, and member of the Parish Pastoral Council and Men's Club. He helped to start the parish Cub Scout Den. He will be fondly remembered for his many years serving as Master of Ceremonies for the parish shows. Many parish fundraising enterprises benefited from his time and talent. Jack also possessed athleticism, as he participated in over thirty Falmouth Road Races, finishing them all. He will be missed not only by his loving family, but by the entire Dorchester community. In lieu of flowers, donations in Jack's memory may be made to The Maureen G. Lynch Scholarship Fund, c/o St. Teresa of Calcutta Parish, 800 Columbia Rd., Dorchester, MA 02125.
