John J. Manalas, 70, of Taylor, passed away Monday, July 21, 2025, at Oak Ridge Rehab and Healthcare Center, Taylor.
Born in Scranton on April 13, 1955, he was a son of the late Stanley and Irene (Komora) Manalas.
John was a 1973 graduate of Riverside High School. He worked as a letter carrier for the United States Postal Service. He was an avid sports fan and loved watching the Dallas Cowboys, the Phillies and going to RailRiders games. He also liked to visit the casino.
John is survived by his sisters, Mary Ann Belch (Wayne), Scranton and Theresa Parry (Randy), Jermyn; nieces and nephews, Alexander Belch, Amanda Herron, Matthew Parry and Samantha Parry and several great nieces and nephews.
Private services were entrusted to Kniffen O’Malley Leffler Funeral & Cremation Services.
