Arkansas CremationJ.C. Manes, age 78, formerly of Trumann, AR, passed away Friday, October 24, 2025, surrounded by the love of his wife and two sons. He retired in 2004 from the Bentonville School District. Before he worked for the Bentonville School District, he owned and operated J’s Auto Sales & Detail Shop which he proudly ran with his two sons. J.C. also served in the Arkansas National Guard.
J.C. was preceded in death by his parents, Cecil and Clara Manes; in-laws Gordon and Juanita Graddy; and brother-in-law Gordon Graddy. Left to cherish his memory are his wife Lovaine, son Ricky and wife Dorian, son Randy and wife Jerrie; sister Sue Sturdivant, brother Bobby Manes and wife Lana, sister Teresa Tackett and husband Ron, sister Judy Hollie and husband Burr, brother Gary and Tammy, and brother-in-laws Bobby Daniel and Noble Graddy. J.C. also leaves behind grandchildren Taylor Manes, Samuel Manes, Morgan Hutchins, and Marisha Manes; great grandson Easton (JC’s Little Man) Hutchins; nephews and nieces: Lynda Bergeron, Joe Turner, Josh Graddy, Tim Tackett, Jerry Graddy, Christina Poe, John Graddy, Jammie Whittington, Jannie Tackett, Dee Crays, Alescia Manes, Ashley Daniel, Jake Graddy, Lacy Duncan, and Trandon McNatt.
As for his wishes, there will be a Celebration of Life Service on Saturday, November 15, at 1:00 at the Church of God of Prophecy, 109 Peach Street, Harrisburg, Arkansas. All family and friends are encouraged to come and share great memories of J.C.
In lieu of flowers that if you prefer to send or give a monetary gift to help with medical expenses that remain it would be greatly appreciated. Donations can be made the day of the celebration, or mailed to 9711 Meyers Road, Benton, AR, 72019.
