Obituary of John Manfredi

John J. Manfredi, 87, of North Salem, NY and Wellington, FL, passed away peacefully on Saturday, September 27, 2025.

Born March 12, 1938, in Brooklyn, NY, he was the son of the late Cesare and Josephine Manfredi. He enlisted in the Army in 1960 where he proudly served until 1966. A graduate of Ohio University with a BS in Civil Engineering, John served as Regional Area Manager for Maintenance with the New York City Board of Education, overseeing facilities in the Bronx and Manhattan until his retirement in 1989. In 1990 he founded JM Associates, an environmental engineering company, and remained active there until 2019.

John is survived by his beloved wife of 60 years, Joan Manfredi; his daughters, Ruth and Mary Manfredi; his grandson and granddaughter, Adriano Fornelli and Isabella Fornelli; son-in-law Cristiano Fornelli and brother Cesare Manfredi.

An avid outdoorsman, John loved fishing and hunting, and was a lifetime member of the Lewisboro Lions Club. He will be remembered as a generous, joyful man, loved by many.

Visitation will be at Clark Associated Funeral Home, 4 Woods Bridge Road, Katonah, NY 10536, on Monday, September 29 from 3–7 p.m., and on Tuesday, September 30 from 2–4 p.m. and 6–8 p.m.

A Funeral Mass of will be celebrated at St. Mary's Church, 55 Valley Road, Katonah, NY 10536, on Wednesday, October 1 at 11:00 a.m.

The burial will follow at South Salem Cemetery, Spring Street, South Salem, NY 10590.
