John Mathieu Obituary
Mr. Mathieu worked as an auditor for the I.R.S. for many years and retired in 2009. John enjoyed playing golf, video games, and traveling. He had a love of music and played bass in a band. He was also a member of the American Legion, V.F.W., and the Knights of Columbus. Mr. Mathieu was a United States Army veteran and served during Vietnam.
John is survived by his grandson, Andrew Ziemba of Putnam, CT. He was predeceased by his daughter, the late Rebecca Mathieu.
Relatives and friends are invited to gather for a funeral service on Tuesday, August 10, 2021, at 1:00 pm, at St. Joseph Cemetery, 350 Hartford Pike, Dayville, CT 06266. For memorial guestbook visit www. GilmanAndValade.com
