John is preceded in death by his parents; sister, Karen; brother, Richard; nephew, Brian Sharp and niece, Jessica Mattson.
John is survived by his sister, Mary Warnke of South St. Paul; nephew, Sean Mattson; his dog, Penny.
A private graveside service will be held at a later date in Glory Cemetery, Nordlund Township, Aitkin County. To leave a message of condolence, please visit: www.srtfuneral.com. Arrangements are with Sorensen-Root-Thompson Funeral Home and Cremation Service, Aitkin.

John and I grew up together as neighbors, rode the bus, went to the same church and had fun just being friends. Sending my Condolences to the rest of his family and friends.
