John Mazzio, age 73, of Eltingville passed away peacefully August 7th, 2025, supported by his family. John, born to Frank and Anna Mazzio, was raised in the Bronx, NY, where he graduated from Mt Saint Michael Academy, Class of 1969. It was at John's first job at Manufacturers Hanover, where he met his loving wife, Deborah. He remained with the company for over 30 years. John and Deborah, married for 49 years, have 3 children together, Steven, Thomas, and Tiffany, and 3 grandchildren, Anthony, Rosalia, and Lilyanna. John was a loving, caring, devoted father and husband. He had a passion for chess and baseball. He will continue to cheer on the Yankees. Friends are welcome to visit with the Family at the John Vincent Scalia Home for Funeral at 28 Eltingville Blvd. Staten Island, NY, on Sunday, August 10, 2025, from 2:00-4:00pm and 7:00-9:00pm. Funeral Services will be held at 11:00am on Monday, August 11, 2025, at Holy Child Church, 4747 Amboy Rd, Staten Island, NY 10312. Private cremation to follow. In lieu of flowers, Memorial donations to the American Lung Association would be greatly appreciated.
