John L McAllister

John L. McAllister gained his wings on Tuesday, December 30, 2025. Our beloved father, brother, uncle and friend, completed his tasks and yielded to the call. He leaves a legacy of love, humanity and service to his family, friends, and loved ones.
John L. McAllister was born on July 31, 1951 in Florence, SC to David and Ethel Frierson McAllister. He attended the public schools of Florence. After high school, he enlisted in the U. S. Army where he served 13 years. After serving in the military, he worked jobs in masonry and carpentry.
At an early age, he accepted Christ and joined Mt. Tabor Baptist Church in Evergreen, SC. He later joined Grace Tabernacle Baptist Church, also in Evergreen. SC.
He was joined in matrimony to Deborah James on May 6, 1975 and to this union, two children were born.
John L. enjoyed cooking for family and friends, fishing and barbequing. He loved people and was always willing to lend a helping hand whenever needed.
He was preceded in death by his parents, his wife, Deborah James McAllister; a grandson, four sisters, and two brothers.
He leaves to cherish his precious memories, three children, Nickie Nicole Carter of NC, Kimberly James, of Florida, Nikia McAllister of the home; 9 grandchildren, 19 great grands; three sisters, Dorothy Vaughn, and Elease Burgess, of Florence, Dorothy Jo (Jerome) Edwards of Timmons; step daughter, Tikila James of Columbus, GA; special nephew Benjamin Green of Florence; a host of nieces, nephews, cousins and friends; a special friend of the family, Jasmine Monique Murph of the home.
