John Alfred Meadows, 76 of Mt. Airy, MD passed away on Friday, January 2, 2026, at his home.
He was the husband of the late Edna Mae Trout.
John was born June 12, 1949, in Olney, MD the son of the late James Roy Runion and the late Mary Elizabeth Meadows.
He worked for Safeway as the Dairy Manager. John enjoyed hunting, going to the casino, playing poker and loved his family deeply.
John is survived by his Children Virginia Lynn Martinelli, and husband Craig Martinelli Jr., John A. Meadows II & wife Christina M. Meadows, James L. Meadows, and stepson Quintin C. Trout II; 11 grandchildren and 3 great-grandchildren. Also survived by his siblings Raymond Meadows, Jr., Thomas Runion, Jane Elizabeth George, Diane Walsh and Janet Runion.
The family will receive friends on Monday, January 5, 2026, from 2-4 & 6-7 PM with a Funeral Service at 7 PM at Burrier-Queen Funeral Home & Crematory, P.A. 1212 West Old Liberty Road Sykesville, MD 21784 (beside South Carroll High School).
The family is planning a Celebration of Life at a Later Date. (Information will be sent out by the family.)
