John G. Merritt

John G. Merritt of Warminster, PA passed away peacefully on February 6th, 2026. He was 83 years old. John was born in Huntingdon, West Virginia to the late John and Clarice (nee Mays) Merritt. He is preceded in death by his parents John and Clarice Merritt, son-in-law Jeffrey Kurchinsky and Great Grandson Harrison Geere. John is survived by his beloved wife Moira; his children John (Gina) Merritt, Jennifer (Bill) Geere, Moira (and the late Jeffrey) Kurchinsky, Heather (Glenn) Gebhardt, Elizabeth (Rick) Praul, Edward (Amanda) Merritt, Joseph (Lexi) Merritt and Stephen (Brittany) Merritt. John will be missed greatly by his 22 grandchildren and 16 great grandchildren; He is also survived by his siblings Cecilia Beatty, Angela Zealberg and Michael Merritt.

John loved to read about United States history and the Catholic religion, listen to Elvis Presley and Johnny Cash and was always a fan of a nice hot cup of coffee. He was a big Philadelphia Eagles fan and loved his Sunday games and Monday nights! In his younger years he enjoyed fishing, singing and playing the guitar.

Relatives and friends are invited to John's Visitation at St. Joseph Catholic Church 1795 Columbia Ave, Warrington PA 18976 on Friday February 13th 2026 from 11:30 AM until 12:00 PM with a Funeral Mass following. Interment will follow at St. John Neumann Cemetery.

In lieu of flowers the family requests donations be made to St. Jude's Children's Hospital in John's name.
