John Glenn Moore, age 48, passed away January 28, 2026, following a courageous battle with cancer. He was born April 1, 1977, in Holland, Michigan, to Glenn Moore and Heather Forbes.
John had a strong work ethic and determination that carried him throughout his life. He graduated from West Ottawa High School and later became a self-employed truck driver for his Amish friends, a career that reflected his independence and drive. Almost a master of all trades, John worked in a variety of blue-collar jobs and never shied away from hard work, there truly wasn’t a lazy bone in him. He consistently gave his best in all he did.
He loved the outdoors, especially fishing and hunting, and enjoyed any opportunity to stay active and competitive. In his younger years, John played soccer at a semi-professional level. He also enjoyed playing pool, cornhole, and board games, and was well known for his unforgettable fireworks displays that brought joy to friends and family alike.
Family meant everything to John. He married the love of his life, Jennifer, on November 11, 2021, and treasured their time together, especially their walks and the simple joy of being by her side. He was a devoted father to his son, Tristyn, cherishing time spent riding quads, fishing, snowmobiling, and making memories at the lake. John was always present at Tristyn’s school and sporting events, cheering him on with pride. He loved spending time with his nephews and nieces and was affectionately known as the “fun uncle,” always ready for a competition. His infectious laugh, boundless energy, and willingness to help others will be deeply missed. John loved God and lived his life with a generous heart.
John was preceded in death by his grandparents and his stepfather, Douglas Forbes.
He is survived by his wife, Jennifer Moore; his son, Tristyn Moore; step-children Kyle, Savannah, Skylar, and Ashley Redumski; his parents, Heather Forbes and Glenn (Jill) Moore; siblings Wendy Menifee, Loree Bosman, Daniel Moore, and CJ (Amy) Moore; and many aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews, and extended family.
