John Evans Moores

John Evan Moores, of East Longmeadow, passed away peacefully at his home on December 30, 2025. He was 62 years old. John was born on October 31, 1963, in Springfield, Massachusetts, the son of the late William J. Moores, Sr. and Marjorie J. (Leavenworth) Moores. He was raised and educated in East Longmeadow and was a graduate of East Longmeadow High School, Class of 1982. John was employed at Accent on Industrial Metal, Inc. in Springfield, where he took pride in his work and genuinely enjoyed his job and the camaraderie of his coworkers. An extremely private man, John found happiness in the simple things in life and valued a quiet, meaningful existence. He is survived by his brother, William J. Moores, Jr. and his wife Karen of Southwick; his sister, Kim Penndorf and her husband Jeffrey of East Longmeadow; and his four nieces, Kara Brown and her husband Jeremy, Caitlin Roberts and her husband Patrick, Kelsey Penndorf, and Taylor Penndorf. John was predeceased by his beloved twin brother, James E. Moores. All services and burial will be private.
