John Robert Morello Jr

John Robert Morello Jr., affectionately known as "Jack," passed away peacefully on May 12, 2025, in Wilmington, North Carolina, at the age of 80. Born on October 9, 1944, in Worcester, Massachusetts, Jack was a beloved husband, father, grandfather, brother, and friend.
Jack dedicated his life to hard work and community service. Jack held an associate degree from the New England School of Accounting. A proud member of Local Union #243 in Worcester, Massachusetts, he spent his career as a construction worker, becoming a well-respected figure in his field. His commitment and skill were known throughout the community, a reflection of his dedication to his craft.
A man of many talents, Jack was a true "jack of all trades." He was a devoted car enthusiast and an active member of the Sun Coast Cruisers. As a self-taught mechanic, he spent countless hours tinkering with engines, a hobby that brought him great joy and connected him with fellow enthusiasts. Jack was a dependable neighbor to all who knew him, always willing to help those with projects at their homes.
Jack's love for his family was unparalleled. Known as "Puppy" by his cherished grandchildren, he was gentle, kind, and always ready with a helping hand. His warmth and humor will forever be remembered by his wife of over 54 years, Jacqueline "Jackie" Morello, and his children, John "Jay" Robert Morello III (Amanda Holliday), Jayna Crittenden (Joel), and Glenn Morello (Lili).
In addition to his wife and children, Jack is survived by his grandchildren, Johnny, Carmela, Asa, Nina, Franco, Leu, and Matteo, his sister Linda Langway, and his brother Mark Morello. He was preceded in death by his parents, John and Mildred Morello.
Family services will be planned at a later date, honoring Jack's wishes and celebrating a life well-lived. As a good neighbor and a loyal friend, Jack leaves behind a legacy of kindness and generosity that will not be forgotten.
