John D'Alesandro Morlino, 94, of Clemson, husband of Anne (Amoruso) Morlino, a beloved family man and esteemed engineer, passed away on April 14, 2025, in Anderson, South Carolina.Born on August 20, 1930, in Hartford, Connecticut, to the late Donato and Anna D'Alesandro Morlino. John lived a life marked by service, innovation, and commitment to family.
John's professional career was dedicated to engineering, where he spent many years at Jacobs Manufacturing in Seneca. His keyless chuck design highlighted his ingenuity and expertise, which was a significant contribution to the field. As a proud member of the US Army during the Korean War, John served as a Sergeant and earned a Purple Heart, demonstrating his bravery and dedication to his country.
Known for his quick wit and infectious sense of humor, John had a knack for making friends wherever he went and never met a stranger. He was humble yet passionate about his work and life, embodying the essence of an engineer to the core.
Beyond his professional achievements, John cherished his time with his family, driving his car on every vacation, no matter where it was the destination. John loved travel, meticulously planning trips centered around food and fine dining, and an avid interest in golf, which has served as both a hobby and a pastime throughout his life. His enthusiasm for taking photographs during family vacations (documented in meticulous slides) further illustrated his desire to capture meaningful moments.
He was married to his beautiful bride for an incredible 71 years, a testament to their enduring bond. Together, they raised a wonderful family and made the most of every moment.

Aronne (Frank) of Newington, CT, and Patricia "Patty" M. Burnett (Eddie) of Easley, a granddaughter, Marissa A. Wengell (John) of Newington, CT and their children, Max and Paige.
