Massimo Lantieri Obituary

Obituary published on Legacy.com by Mulryan Funeral Home - Glastonbury on Feb. 13, 2026.
Obituary of Massimo Lantieri

Massimo Lantieri, 49, of Glastonbury, CT passed away unexpectedly at Hartford Hospital on February 7, 2026. He was the beloved husband of Maria Pina (Scionti) Lantieri and devoted loving father to his two greatest treasures, Vittoria and Luke.

Born on July 23, 1976, in Hartford, CT, Massimo was the son of Sebastiano and Theresa (Tiralongo) Lantieri. He grew up in Hartford and Wethersfield where his lifelong passion for Taekwondo began at the age of five. A third-degree black belt, he became a five-time consecutive State Champion by age 15 and placed first in the lightweight division at the Junior Olympics. Taekwondo profoundly shaped his character and commitment.

Massimo graduated from Wethersfield High School and earned his bachelor's degree from Central Connecticut State University. He worked as a Financial Advisor at Johnson Brunetti.

He lived for his children. There was nothing he loved more than standing on the sidelines cheering them on at their soccer games, proudly watching their determination and spirit. He treasured family vacations, long conversations about life, and the everyday moments that many take for granted. Luke was not only his son, but his best friend. Vittoria was the apple of his eye, and he adored her beyond measure.

Massimo shared an extraordinary love with his wife, Maria Pina. Their bond was deep, joyful, and unwavering. He made her laugh like no one else could, and their love story was one of partnership, friendship, and devotion. Together they built a life centered on family, laughter, and unconditional love.

Massimo will be remembered for his kindness, his strength, his sense of humor, and his fierce love for his family. He would do anything for those he loved and always strived to lead with generosity and heart.

His absence leaves an immeasurable void, but his legacy lives on in the beautiful children he raised, the love he shared, and the countless lives he touched. He will be forever loved, forever missed, and forever in our hearts.

In addition to his wife, children, and parents, Massimo is survived by his in-laws, Giuseppe and Pina Scionti; his brothers-in-law Antonio Scionti and his wife Carla and their daughters Marcella and Giulia; and Joseph Scionti. He was predeceased by his brother, David Lantieri.

A Funeral Mass will be held on Tuesday, February 17, 2026, at 11:00 a.m. at SS. Isidore and Maria Parish in St. Paul Church, 2577 Main Street, Glastonbury. Burial will follow in Cedar Hill Cemetery, Hartford. Calling hours will be Monday, February 16, 2026, from 4:00 p.m. to 7:00 p.m. at Mulryan Funeral Home, 725 Hebron Avenue, Glastonbury. Earlier today

Massimo was by far one of the kindest, sweetest, most loving people I knew. There was never a moment in the 45 or so years that I knew him in which he wasn´t a joy to be around. Massimo added value to my life. He was always happy to see you, greeted you with a smile, laughed with you, treated you with respect behind your back, and will be deeply missed. I am grateful to have been a part of his life. Like all the people that I talk to say; "Massimo was a good dude".
