John Peter Morris, 73, of Appleton, passed away surrounded by the love of those closest to him at ThedaCare Appleton, after a courageous 8 month long battle with cancer. He was born on March 3, 1952 to John and Paulette (Dreschers) Morris in Appleton, WI.
John was a devoted partner, father, grandfather, brother, uncle, and friend whose life was marked by loyalty, strength, and quiet compassion. A skilled master electrician, John built his own business, Morris Electric, through hard work, dedication, and pride in doing things the right way.
For 27 years, he shared his life with his partner, John Zuleger. John loved spending time with his King Charles Spaniel, Jay-Jay, playing cribbage, a brandy old fashion and weekends up north at their cabin in Townsend.
He was a proud and loving father to his daughters Stephanie Harris (Mahesh Subramanian) Los Angeles, CA, Ann Arft (Benjamin Vanderloop) Menasha, WI, and Jennifer (Robert) Clement Seymour, WI. John found great joy in being a grandfather and cherished time spent with his grandchildren Grace Harris, Elyse Harris, Alexis Tiede, Riley Clement, and Reid Clement, each of whom held a special place in his heart. John is also survived by his brothers William (Debra) Morris, Robert (Gail) Morris, Chuck (Cheri) Morris, and Paul (Terese) Morris, along with many nieces and nephews, extended family members, and friends with whom he shared a lifetime of memories and enduring family bonds.
He was preceded in death by his parents John and Paulette Morris, and brother Michael Morris.
John will be remembered for his steady presence, dependability, and the deep love he showed his family through both words and actions. His legacy lives on through the many lives he touched and the family he loved so dearly.
