Rochelle, Texas. He grew up on his family's farm attending local Rochelle schools, playing sports and graduating as valedictorian of Rochelle High School in 1953. His path led him to Texas Tech University, where he not only earned a degree in civil engineering but also married his high school sweetheart, Patricia "Pat" Adams Moseley. Together they welcomed two children, creating a family that would be John's pride and joy.
Professionally, John's first steps were with the Texas Highway Department in Lubbock and San Angelo, Texas. In 1965, a new chapter began as he and his family moved to Houston, Texas, where John joined Brown & Root Engineering & Construction Company. His remarkable 32-year tenure with the company allowed him to traverse the globe, contribute to significant projects, and leave an indelible mark on the industry.
John's faith was the cornerstone of his life, and he served with humility and grace as both a Deacon and Sunday School teacher at Tallowwood Baptist Church in Houston. His commitment to his faith community and the deep bonds he formed there were sources of immense joy and fulfillment. John and Pat's shared love for travel brought them closer to their friends from Tallowwood, and together they crafted a tapestry of cherished memories that would last a lifetime.
John is survived by his daughter, Joanna Moseley Thompson, and her husband Steve of
Austin, Texas; his sister Marilyn Waller of Brady, Texas; his daughter-in-law Lisa Schmidt Moseley of
