John Moyers Obituary
John E. Moyers, age 76 longtime resident of Iowa City died at his home in Cedar Rapids, on Thursday, November 27, 2025.
John Edward Moyers was born August 31, 1949, in Iowa City the son of John C. "Kippy" and Lola Jane (Bymer) Moyers. Attending schools here in Iowa City he graduated from City High School with the Class of 1968. For over 38 years John worked for the University of Iowa in food service before his retirement.
John's family includes two brothers, James Moyers and Jeff Moyers and 2 nieces. He was preceded in death by his parents and a sister, Mary Miller and brother Jerry Moyers.

I have been Friends with John since we were kids . He was a proud Little Hawk. We always enjoyed the class Reunions. I will miss talking to him on the phone. My heart goes out to his family. Dick Sedlacek
