John Negus Obituary

Obituary published on Legacy.com by O'Brien-Sullivan Funeral Home on Jan. 31, 2026.
John William "Will" Negus, passed away surrounded by family on January 29, 2026. He was 57 years old.

Will was born in Detroit on July 31, 1968, and is the beloved son of Betty and Vaughn Davis and the late John Allen Negus. He is the dear brother to Leanne (Joe) Tosto and a proud uncle who adored his nephews and nieces. Will is also survived by many other loving family members, as well as lifelong friends who remained close to him throughout his life.

Will grew up and lived much of his life in Redford, Michigan. A graduate of Redford Union High School, he went on to work at Meijer, then Castle and Associates and eventually Neuro Restorative, where he was employed in manufacturing. He also volunteered at hospitals and took great pride in his work. He had a quiet loyalty that made him dependable to everyone who knew him.

Will had a deep interest in classic cars and enjoyed sharing that passion with others. Above all, he was devoted to his family and friends, always valuing time spent together and the bonds he held dear. Willy will be remembered for his loyalty, kindness, and the love he shared with those fortunate enough to have known him.

Internment of cremains will take place later this week at Parkview Memorial Cemetery in Livonia, Michigan.

To celebrate Will and to honor his devotion to family and friends, a picnic will be organized when the weather is warmer. Details will be shared by the family.

Janet Dolin & Family

February 1, 2026

The Dolin family are all very sad to learn of Will´s passing - we send our sincere sympathies to Betty, Vaughn, Leeann & all family. Will was a special neighbor, friend and visitor in our home. Our "next door" families - enjoyed many happy times - weddings, backyard parties, bike races sandbox/basement playing/squabbling (?) & "just visiting." We still remember & tell stories of years as neighbors on Glenmore - saddened when they moved away! We have a special place in our hearts & minds for Will & his family. PEACE TO ALL
