Anthony Rojas Obituary

Obituary published on Legacy.com by Charles R. Step Funeral Home - Redford on Feb. 13, 2026.
Anthony Dean Rojas, affectionately know as TD or Prince Anthony by his family and as Chico to everyone else, passed away suddenly on February 9, 2026, in Hesperia, Michigan. He was 44 years old.

Born on December 20, 1981, in Farmington Hills, Michigan, Anthony brought light and laughter into the world from the very beginning. His vibrant personality and magnetic presence left a lasting impression on everyone he encountered. Whether you knew him as Chico, TD, or simply Anthony, he had a way of making people feel seen and valued.

Anthony was a proud father to his beloved son Levi. He is also survived by his devoted siblings: Maria (Craig), Michelle, Jerry, Michael, Callina, Darryl, Carole, Antoinette, and Stephanie. He was preceded in death by his father Anthony, mother Nellie, and brother Big Tony. Also preceded by the love of his life, Shara.

Family was at the heart of everything Anthony did. His bond with his siblings was unbreakable-filled with love, loyalty, and endless laughter. His cousins were more like brothers and sisters to him; their closeness reflected the deep value he placed on family ties. He was adored by his aunts, uncles, and numerous nieces and nephews who cherished his playful spirit-especially Scarlet and Lil' Craig. He had a unique ability to connect with children, making him especially beloved by the kids in his family as well as those of his friends.

Anthony's personality was larger than life. With a razor-sharp wit and an unmatched sense of humor, he could turn any conversation into a lively debate-especially if it involved history, conspiracies, or religion. He thrived on friendly banter and never backed down from a challenge. Competitive to the core, Anthony approached every game-whether pool, cards, or sports-with fierce determination. In his eyes, losing simply wasn't an option.

A die-hard fan of all Detroit sports teams, Anthony proudly declared himself the GOAT in any athletic endeavor. His confidence was unwavering and infectious. He had a deep love for sneakers-rarely seen without his signature Nikes or Jordans-and took pride in his style.

Anthony's love for food was legendary. He never turned down a good meal and believed leftovers were treasures not to be wasted. Deeply proud of his Mexican heritage, he often made trips to Southwest Detroit for tamales or chorizo-a taste of culture that kept him grounded in his roots.

He had an uncanny ability to connect with people from all walks of life. A true chameleon at heart, Anthony could walk into any room and find common ground with anyone there. That rare gift made him unforgettable to so many who now mourn his passing.

Though gone too soon, Anthony leaves behind a legacy of laughter, loyalty, and love that will live on through those who knew him best. His absence is deeply felt but so too is the joy he brought into this world.

May his memory bring comfort to all who loved him and strength to carry forward the spirit he so fiercely embodied. A Visitation will be held on February 16, 2026, from 01:00 PM to 05:00 PM at Charles R. Step Funeral Home 18425 Beech Daly, Redford, MI 48240. Prayer service will begin at 5 pm.
