John Nelson Obituary
Mr. Nelson passed away on Monday, February 16, 2026 at East Alabama Medical Center. He was born on August 28, 1972 in Lee County, Alabama to William J. Nelson and Frances Lee Ware Nelson. John was a truck driver for many years before becoming sick. John loved his family very much, especially his grandchildren. John's passion was fishing and he was happiest when he and his wife were fishing together.
John is survived by his wife, Mary A. Crouch Nelson; daughter, Phoenix (Chris) Birch; son, Tracey (Jennifer) Bradford; grandchildren, Tracey Bradford III, Zoey Birch, and Carson Birch; and bonus brother, Wayne Handley.
He was preceded in death by his parents.
