John Noack Obituary

Obituary published on Legacy.com by Ebensberger-Fisher Funeral Home on Mar. 5, 2025.
John Edmund Noack, a beloved husband, father, grandfather, brother, and friend, passed away peacefully on March 4, 2025, in Boerne, Texas. Born on May 27, 1946, in Austin, Texas, John was a proud fourth-generation Austinite and a man whose kindness, generosity, and gentle spirit touched all who knew him.
John was the son of Alfred Bernhard Noack and Marie Alff Noack, who preceded him in death. He is survived by his devoted wife and best friend, Debbie Yahn Noack, with whom he shared a lifetime of love and friendship. Together, they built a beautiful family centered on faith, adventure, and unconditional support.
John's legacy lives on through his daughters, Nicole Johnson of San Antonio, married to Michael Johnson, and Morgan Beall of Austin, married to Parker Beall. He was a proud and adoring grandfather to Gloria and Miriam "Mimi" Johnson. John was also eagerly anticipating the arrival of his newest grandson, Crew Beall. John's deep love for his family was the foundation of his life, and his role as a "girl dad" brought him profound joy and pride.
He is also survived by his brother Patrick Noack and wife Sibyl, and his sisters Linda Lockney, Kathryn Buckner, and Carla Bird and husband Ron. John was preceded in death by his sister, Nancy McAngus. His family - both immediate and extended - meant the world to him, and his care and compassion for them was unwavering.
From a young age, John's love for the outdoors shaped his life. Whether hunting, fishing, exploring for arrowheads, or simply spending time in nature, John found peace and connection in the world around him. Some of his fondest memories were spent in a deer blind alongside his father-in-law, David, and his brother, Pat. He had an eye for beauty, both in nature and in life, and often captured it through the lens of his camera as an avid amateur photographer. Whether photographing family gatherings, serene landscapes, or the simple details of a walk outside, John loved sharing the world as he saw it.
John had a long and successful career in banking, working primarily as an auditor and loan analyst. Much of his early career took him across West Texas, ensuring clients were in compliance and building relationships along the way. Even after many years in the industry, John continued to work until the age of 74 - not because he had to, but because he found purpose in his work and truly valued the people he encountered.
A lifelong Catholic, John's faith was a cornerstone of his life. He was a graduate of St. Ignatius Catholic School, St. Edward's High School, and St. Edward's University in Austin. His faith guided his actions and nurtured his gentle spirit, leaving those around him better for having known him.
John was a true gentleman - a man of quiet strength, deep compassion, and unwavering generosity. Though tall in stature, he was a gentle giant, always aware of the needs of those around him and quick to offer kindness and support. His love for his wife, his daughters, and his grandchildren was evident in every aspect of his life. Whether planning family trips to Santa Fe, casting a line along the Texas coast, or taking in the beauty of Alaska, John's love for adventure was only matched by his love for sharing those experiences with the people he cherished most.
A memorial Mass will be held in John's honor at 2:00 PM on Saturday, March 8, 2025, at St. Peter the Apostle, 202 West Kronkosky, Boerne, TX 78006. A reception to follow.
John's gentle heart, kind spirit, and unwavering devotion to family and faith will be deeply missed, but his legacy of love, kindness, and adventure will live on in the hearts of all who knew and loved him.

John was one of the most memorable men that we have been blessed to know in our lifetime. He was caring, loving, giving, and inspirational to us both in the treasured time that we knew him. His kindness, generosity towards others and his loving family were so noticeable to us and all that knew him. His laughter brought us such happiness and will be greatly missed as well as his friendship. He will be loved and deeply missed. We will carry John with us in our hearts and memories for the rest of our lives. Thank you John for the gifts you gave us of laughter, kindness, and friendship.
