John "Dog" Norman

John "Dog" R. Norman, age 69, of Wells, passed away on Thursday, January 26, 2023 with his family by his side.
John was born on May 25, 1953, in Escanaba, the son of Rudolph and Emily (Collegnon) Norman. John grew up in Escanaba and worked for most of his life doing machinery maintenance and most recently worked and retired from Pardon Inc. He enjoyed nature and going on walks outside. He also loved collecting shells and rocks, finding fossils in Stonington, and observing marine life. He also was a proud member of the Bay de Noc Gem and Mineral Club. But most importantly, John was a loving father and husband who will be missed dearly by so many.
John is survived by his loving ex-wife, Liz Norman, his daughters Sarah Norman and Carla (Donald) Pellegrini, brothers Ed (Sandy) Norman and Richard (Bonnie) Norman, sister Sue (Murphy) Bower, granddaughters Joslynn and Scarlett Pellegrini, as well as several nieces and nephews.
John was preceded in death by his parents, Rudolph and Emily, and brother Mike Norman.
Family will receive friends on Saturday, February 4, 2023 from 12 noon to 1 pm at Harbor Lights Church of God in Escanaba. A memorial service honoring John will begin at 1 pm with Pastor Tony Morrison officiating.
