John Mays Nowlin, of Pensacola, died March 16, 2025
He was born on May 4, 1944, to Dr. Hubert and Carolyn Nowlin in Pensacola.
John graduated from Tate High School in 1962.
He married his wife Betty on March 19, 1965. They had two children. Denise Fish and son Rodney Nowlin.
John retired as a chemical operator and member of the fire brigade from Monsanto/Solutia after 35 years.
John was an avid fan of car racing and he never passed up the opportunity to watch a race. He enjoyed fishing with his group of friends that he grew up with. John's biggest enjoyment was spending time with family and friends.
John is survived by his wife of 60 years Betty, Daughter Denise Fish, Son Rodney (Cynthia) Nowlin, Grandchildren Jordan (Adam) Bowmar, Les (Katie) Fish, Taylor Fish (Cole Goodwin), Kaylen (Justin) Thomas, Michael Caraway, Victoria Nowlin, Tyler Nowlin, and Thirteen great grandchildren.
He was preceded in death by his parents Dr. Hubert and Carolyn Nowlin, brother Harry Nowlin, son in law Jim Fish, and grandson Wesley Howard.
A celebration of life will be held April 26 at 448 E. Ten Mile Rd Pensacola from 2pm - 5pm
