Our happy and loving John Scott Oldham, passed away on September 9 , 2025 due to multiple complications following a quadruple bypass. He was surrounded by family who loved and cared for him as he faced his health challenges with strength and courage. He had a true desire for others to be happy and smile even when he was struggling.
John learned to build and play drums at a young age. He taught drum lessons for over 40 years and sold musical equipment. He loved to see his student’s success in careers in percussion.
John loved talking with friends and family, watching football, fishing, and vacationing and spending time with his family.
John was loyal in his service to his wife Linda, after she lost her eyesight- he was a constant driver and guide for her and devoted much of his life to helping her achieve her goals. He had a deep desire to have his wife and his children succeed.
John is survived by his wife Linda Oldham, daughter Chelsea Oldham, son John Dylan Oldham, and his mother Deeanne Oldham, MIL Sandra Johnson and was preceded in death by his father John W. Oldham and his FIL Richard A. Johnson.
The funeral service is scheduled for Friday, September 12, 2025, at 11:00 a.m. at Russon Brothers Mortuary in Farmington. Friends, students, and loved ones are invited to attend and celebrate John’s life. A viewing will be held prior to the service from 9:30 – 10:30 a.m. Interment at Farmington City Cemetery.
