John Fredrich Oliver, 76, of Belleville, IL, born Friday, January 21, 1949, in East St. Louis, IL, passed away Saturday, October 18, 2025.

After his time in law enforcement, he continued to work hard as a tow truck driver and in construction- fields that reflected his determination, skill, and strong work ethic.

Beyond his many professions, John found joy and peace in the simple things he loved most- casting a line while fishing and taking to the open road on his motorcycle. He was known for his steady presence, his stories, and his loyalty to friends and family alike.

Yesterday

Sad to lose brother in law Johnny. We were buddies in elementary school well before I married his brother Noel.. He was truly "one of a kind " yes, always a story to tell and perhaps elaborated in detail ! My heart goes out to dear wife Linda ( my lil sister in law) his sons and grandchildren that i love dearly . May John rest in peace on high and comfort to his family at this sad time. In God´s love
