James L. Haukap, 75, of Belleville, IL, born Wednesday, March 8, 1950, in Breese, IL, passed away Friday, October 17, 2025, at Four Fountains Convalescent Center in Belleville, IL.

James worked as a motor coach driver for Vandalia bus lines. He was a member of St. Augustine of Canterbury, Belleville IL. He was Past President of Henry Raab PTA, loved to bowl, an avid reader and a St. Louis Cardinal fan.

He was preceded in death by his:

Parents: Raymond and Irene, nee Litteken, Haukap

Surviving are his:

Wife: Stephanie A., nee Falcetti, Haukap of Belleville, IL
Daughter: Emily (Alex) Muskopf of Belleville, IL
Grandson's

Carter J. Muskopf
Brayden A. Muskopf

Sister: Doris R. Kauling of Beckemeyer, IL
Brother and Sister-in-law: John (Mary) Falcetti of St. Louis, MO
Niece, nephew, great nieces and nephew, uncle, aunts and cousins

Memorials: Memorials may be made to the American Cancer Society or Heartland Hospice.

Visitation: Visitation from 9:00 am – 11:00 am, Saturday, November 1, 2025, at Kurrus Funeral Home in Belleville, Illinois.

Services: Memorial Service will be held at 11:00 am, November 1, 2025, at Kurrus Funeral Home, with Monsignor William McGhee officiating. Private family interment.
