John Olson

John Patrick Olson, affectionately known as Pat to his family and friends, passed away on December 26, 2025. Born on October 12, 1946, in Seattle, Washington, Pat's wit, and spirited sense of humor made him a cherished presence in the lives of all who knew him. As his daughter, I am honored to share a glimpse of my father's remarkable life.

After serving several years in the United States Army, and Air National Guard, Pat went on to become a Teamsters truck driver in the construction industry,. His funny and captivating stories were a testament to his wit and unmatched storytelling ability. His laughter and jokes were as infectious as his love for life. He made fast friends with everyone he met along the way. Pat was a proud member of the Teamsters Local 174 for over 30 years, a testament to his dedication and hard work. He lived most of his life in Burien, Washington, before settling down in Poulsbo and eventually Gig Harbor for the last five years.

Above all, John, or Pat as his family and friends called him, was a man of people. He was a jokester who loved to spin tales and watch as people reacted to his stories with laughter and surprise. But it wasn't only his humor that made him so loved, it was his spirit. He was a good friend to everyone in his life, always there when you needed him. He had a special bond with his caretaker Danielle, brother, Sidney, and sister in law, Pam. As his daughter, I saw firsthand the love and dedication he had for his family and friends. He showed me what it means to live life with a good work ethic, a sense of humor, and a love for people.

Pat leaves behind his daughter, Roni Olson, brother Sidney Olson and a life filled with laughter, love, and cherished memories.
