John Perdomo, a cherished father, grandfather, husband, and friend, passed away peacefully due to natural causes on February 3, 2026, in
Riverside, California. Born on October 1, 1955, in
Calexico, California, John's life journey was marked by his kindness, enduring strength, and an unwavering commitment to his loved ones.
A proud graduate of Calexico High School, John went on to further his education at Grossmont College, where he cultivated a foundation for his future endeavors. His professional life was spent in the construction industry, where he worked with dedication until his retirement. John's colleagues remember him as a reliable and hardworking individual who brought both skill and good humor to every project.
John was a devout member of The Church of Jesus Christ LDS, whose faith was a guiding light throughout his life, providing him with comfort and purpose. He lived his beliefs through his actions, always ready to lend a helping hand and offer a word of encouragement.
A man of diverse interests, John found joy in the simple pleasures of life. He was an avid tennis player, relishing the camaraderie and competition found on the courts. His love for motorcycles was more than a hobby; it was a passion that gave him a sense of freedom and adventure. John's musical tastes were rooted in hard rock, with Black Sabbath and Santana being among his favorite bands, their music providing the soundtrack to many cherished memories.
John's legacy is carried on by his loving family. He is survived by his devoted wife, Ellen Haven Perdomo; his siblings, Cindie Perdomo, Gilbert Perdomo, Karla Lopez-Portillo, Eleanor (Noni) Cones, Juan Enrique Perdomo, Emily Cacciapagilia, Joanna Favela, Josie Perdomo, Angie Perdomo, and notably, his son John Robert Perdomo (wife Paula) and daughter Alysia Perdomo; as well as his adored granddaughters, Sofia and Natalia Perdomo. John's larger-than-life presence will be profoundly missed by all who knew him.
Predeceased by his parents, Johnny Jaime Perdomo and Josefina Lopez-Portillo, and his brother Richard Perdomo, John's memory will be a treasure in the hearts of all who were fortunate enough to have felt his warmth and generosity.
John's life story is one of enduring love, unwavering faith, and the joy of shared experiences. As we remember John, we celebrate not only the life he lived but the many lives he touched. His spirit will continue to inspire those who knew him, reminding us to embrace each day with the same zest and passion that he did.
