John Pertinaci

John H. Pertinaci, age 82, of Cheswick, PA, died peacefully on December 15, 2025. He was the son of the late John and Margaret (Sanders) Pertinaci.

John's career began in the mid-1960s at Westinghouse in East Pittsburgh, where he worked until 1986. He later brought his leadership skills to Carquest Auto Parts store, before moving to Florida.

His final working days were at O'Reilly Auto Parts store, in Florida, where he retired as a delivery driver, retiring at age 80.

A man of faith, John devoted time to his church's Vacation Bible School, where he volunteered and shared his joyous spirit with the children. He was known in the neighborhood for his water battles, which showcased his ability to be a kid at heart. John's nurturing nature extended to the care he took in planting and tending to the beautiful flowers and shrubs for his wife, Joyce.

John truly loved his family. He treasured every moment as a dad, grandpa, and great grandpa, creating a legacy of love and laughter that will live on through his family. His wife of 36 years, Joyce (Jackson) Pertinaci, was the love of his life, and together they nurtured a blended family that includes three sons, John Jr., Bryan, and Jim Pertinaci, a daughter, Jill, 18 grandchildren, and 24 great-grandchildren, all of whom brought John immense joy and pride.

In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his sister, Betty Sparks.

A memorial service will be held a later date at the Cheswick Christian Fellowship, 1407 Pittsburgh St. Cheswick PA 15024.
