John was a wonderful nurse and patient advocate. My husband, Chris, and I first met John in the INR at JHN, when I was beginning my first treatment for my brain AVM. There was some miscommunication from the doctors about the process, and John was very reassuring-especially to Chris-and he worked hard to get clarity for us. John´s good humor and caring nature made a tense situation for us easier. Chris and John were kindred spirits. We were always happy to see John on shift when I had other procedures at JHN. We will remember John with respect for his work and fondness for his personality.
