After a courageous battle with cancer, surrounded by his loving family, passed on November 1, 2025, of Sicklerville, at the age of 41. Beloved husband of Tony R. Mazzo. Devoted father of Veda Joan Roehrs-Mazzo. Loving son of Neal and Joan (nee Rohwer) Roehrs. "Big" little brother of Garrett Roehrs (Jennifer). Loving grandson of Lloyd Rohwer (the late Fran) and the late Raymond and Norma Roehrs. Dear son-in-law of Jack and Kathy Rivera. Brother-in-law of Tina Ingrahm, Daniel and Angela Matson, Eric and Maggie Rivera, Natalie Rivera and Ashley Ealer. Loved by nieces and nephews.
Gavin's journey was short but well lived. Gavin was born in York, Nebraska on 5/10/84. He grew up in Osceola and Lincoln, Neb, with Midwest values, doing Midwest things.. He loved spending time with his family and friends, exploring farm life with his cousins, horses and playing sports, settling on Golf and Tennis. After graduating from SE High School, he went on to graduate from Doane college, Crete, Neb. with a degree in Psychology and an Art minor. His work career consisted of retail managing Buckle, Lucky and Target stores in Neb, Iowa, Pennsylvania and New Jersey.
No matter where life took Gavin, he made an impact and left an impression. none more than when he met Tony, who became the love of his life! An unlikely pair that completed each other. Midwest meets East Coast.. who knew? They did! They married in 2018, living their best life, that is until the birth of their daughter in 2024 then it became life at its finest. Gavin only got to be Veda's Dad for a short time, but he made the most of it. Gavin lived his life true to himself. He never conformed but more importantly he never judged! Gavin led by example, he was positive, kind, funny, loving and genuine!
Family and friends are invited to attend his visitation Friday 5:30-7:30 PM at the Egizi Funeral Home 119 Ganttown Road, Washington Twp. At 7:30 there will be a time of sharing thoughts, Memories, prayers and love offered by family and friends.
In lieu of flowers, the family request that donations be made to Veda Roehrs-Mazzo for her future education.
There will be a Life Celebration in Nebraska at a later date.
