Of Venice Beach, California, passed away suddenly on October 30, 2025.
Beloved husband of Daffodil Tyminski. Loving son of Joseph and Barbara (nee Hoffmaster) Duffy. Dear brother of Brandon Duffy. Joe is also survived by his sisters-in-law Jackie Duffy and Nancy Tyminski. Loved by aunts, uncles, cousins and friends.
Joe was born on September 29, 1974, in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania, to Barbara (née Hoffmaster) and Joseph Duffy Sr.
He graduated from Trenton State College in 1996 with a degree in Political Science and went on to earn his Juris Doctor from Pepperdine University in 1999. Joe spent his entire career with Morgan, Lewis & Bockius LLP, beginning in 2000 at their Philadelphia office and later relocating to the Los Angeles office. He served as Managing Partner in the LA office and became a nationally recognized class action lawyer and co-head of their Retail Industry Team. Joe was known for his intellect, calm presence, and steadfast leadership, as well as his deep loyalty to his clients and colleagues.
Joe was a world traveler, had a great passion for cooking, improved his golf game over the years and found immense happiness spending time with his beloved dogs. Most especially, Joe enjoyed bringing people together and hosting gatherings for many occasions. His generosity to those around him was unmatched and gave him great joy. Despite moving to Los Angeles, Joe remained loyal to his Philadelphia sports roots, attending countless Phillies and Eagles games and sharing the experience with his numerous friends and colleagues.
Joe will be remembered for his wit, sense of humor, and compassionate heart. He had an instinctive knack for lifting others up and a quiet confidence that made those around him better. He was someone people turned to for guidance - a problem solver who offered others perspective, comfort, and laughter when it was needed most. Joe prioritized the most important aspects of life: relationships, friendships, and family.
Family and friends are invited to attend his viewing Saturday 9:00 AM-12:00 PM at the Egizi Funeral Home, 119 Ganttown Road, Washington Twp. At 12:00 PM there will be a time of sharing thoughts, memories, prayers and love offered by family and friends.
The family request in lieu of flowers, that donations be made to a foundation in Joe's memory that will be set up in the near future.
