John P. Philipose

Lamentations 3:22-23.
The steadfast love of the Lord never ceases;[c]
his mercies never come to an end;
23 they are new every morning;
great is your faithfulness.
At the age of 75, John P. Philipose peacefully passed away on January 19, 2026. John was born on April 11, 1950 in Adoor, Kerala to loving parents, the late Philipose and Mariamma. He was the youngest of 9 siblings. On February 7, 1977 John married Aleyamma Mathews in Hyderbad, India. He worked at BHEL as an accountant. His son, Sunil, was born in 1979 and his daughter, Simi, was born in 1982. They came to the United States in 1985 and eventually settled in Skokie, Illinois where they lived for 33 years and raised their two children. After retiring, John cherished spending time with his family especially with his grandchildren. He also enjoyed spending time outdoors, gardening and cooking.
John is survived by his wife, Aleyamma John; his two sisters, Ponnamma and Pennamma; his children Sunil(Christina), and Simi(Senin) and his five beloved grandchildren Alexa, Isaiah, Jordan, Aaliyah, and Sophia.
